I'm in Charlotte NC, for what should be my last trip of the year.I went well over 100k miles, having crossed that threshold in October. Five trips to London, UK and several to San Francisco quickly add up. This coming year doesn't look significantly different I'm sitting in CLT airport-killing an hour before my flight starts to board. The airport is festive, maybe because there aren't weather any cancellations or delays. The piano in the inter-terminal atrium is occupied with the pianist playing Christmas blues. As I reflect upon the past year, I have spent too many nights away from home, read a lot of books, made new friends, watched friends suffer health issues with their children. I certainly miss time with my kids and wife.

With Jay and Scott at college, it's especially difficult when they are home and I am not, such as this week while I am in Denver.

In the event I don't add to this blog this year, I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Got to see Othello at the Wayside Theatre this past Thursday. This, of course, is the theatre of the tablet community's Warner Crocker. The production was most excellent. As a frequent attender of other Shakespeare houses both regional and international I have to rank Wayside's as a worthy event. By no means was this a stodgy performance. Human conflict and drama Were believably portrayed by the cast. Wayside is an intimate theatre where the audience is near the stage regardless of where they sit providing a sense of a personal performance. Too bad Shakespeare is not on their regular schedule as they do it well. I hope to see their production of Black Coffee by Agatha Christie later this Month. Thanks Warner, for the pleasure of seeing Othello. Even my boys enjoyed it and discussed it for quite awhile.

Home Again Been on the road this past week in Sunnyvale, California at the corporate offices. Based upon the travel prospects between now and the year-end, I will be renewing my Chairman Preferred status on USAir this month. So, I will be well over the threshold by the end of the year. More travel to Europe and to the west coast.
